Crèche at Growing Bones

Our Crèche is co-ordinated and supervised by professional nanny Stephanie Clifford, plus Growing Bones Staff Clara Browell and Melissa McDougall.

Kids love our indoor/outdoor play space with black boards, sand pit, ball sports and ride-on toys! Now you can relax and enjoy your treatment while your child--or children--are taken care of in our fully supervised crèche.

All crèche activities are co-ordinated and supervised by our amazing carers Stephanie Clifford (working with children check, professional nanny) plus Clara Browell (mum of two, working with children check) and Melissa McDougall (mum of one, paediatric osteopath, working with children check).

Crèche Capacity and Staff-to-Child Ratio

The Growing Bones Crèche caters for up to 4 children, from the ages of birth to 5 years. The Department of Education and Early Childhood guidelines and require a staff to child ratio of 1:5 for under three year olds, and 1:15 for over three year olds. Growing Bones Crèche operates within these guidelines with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:4 for all children.

The Crèche adheres to many requirements of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Services

The Crèche is a small childcare facility that meets licensing exemptions under the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 (Regulation 5), and Children’s Services Act 1996 (Section 5). But despite being expedited from regulation, our Crèche adheres to many requirements of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Services:

  • Regulation 5 of the National Regulations provides for an exclusion for a service providing education and care to children on an ad hoc basis at premises where the parent of, or other person responsible for, the child is a guest, visitor or patron, and readily available at all times that the child is being educated and cared for.
  • Section 5 of the Children’s Services Act excludes a service provided on an ad hoc basis at the place of a meeting, convention, seminar or other short-term event attended by a parent, and readily available at all times that the child is being educated and cared for.

The Crèche is open Monday to Friday during the following times:
