christineChristine has a Bachelor of Health Science in naturopathy and is registered with the National Herbalist Association of Australia.

She is a passionate naturopathic practitioner who has a strong desire to assist people in obtaining ‘optimal’ health and wellbeing. She uses a consultative approach in analysing issues, is a great listener and imparts sound knowledge and advice with great understanding and compassion.

Much of her focus in consultation has an emphasis on dietary analysis, with the importance of nutrition and the effects of nutrients on both mind and body. Her special interest in post partum health and ‘optimal’ wellness for the whole family including children’s health, has lead her to integrate her skills here at Growing Bones.
Overall, balance and common sense is an integral part of Christine’s practice, whilst working in conjunction with other supporting professionals.

What is Naturopathy?
The advantage of naturopathic medicine is its’ multidisciplinary approach to health care, using a blend of the traditional knowledge, of natural medicinal medicines, whilst using current advances in science.  Naturopaths can work with other practitioners including your GP and specialists, incorporating treatment plans including; diet & lifestyle counselling, herbal and nutritional supplements, homeopathy and flower essences.   A naturopath will focus on the cause of illness as opposed to just symptomatic relief, whilst supporting the body’s innate ability to heal itself.

Since 1999 Christine has immersed herself in The Work of Byron Katie, which she also shares with her clients. Katie’s work has an incredible approach to life and is a practical tool for supporting and observing emotional obstacles in every day life. This work also deals with the ‘stories’ and 'should-isms' that we all carry around with us that don’t necessarily serve us, however have convinced or influenced us that they are real.

Naturopathy for Children
Much like adults, little people can benefit from seeing a qualified naturopath for a range of conditions.
Naturopathy for children can include:
Dietary advice for optimal health & wellness
Support for coughs, colds & hayfever
Hives, eczema & psoriasis relief
Finding underlying causes of those tummy aches
Anxiety, hyperactivity, ADHD & sleep related problem support.
