Learn how to move well in Pregnancy with Barre:
90 min Prenatal workshop with Tania Rahman
Thursday September 28th at 7pm
This pregnancy workshop will go through some simple exercises you can do in a regular barre class, or adapt for home.
With gentle core and pelvic floor exercises, and arms, legs and bottom work, the sequence will condition the body for ease of movement in pregnancy and support a healthy recovery post birth.
There are so many benefits to keeping active while pregnant. Other than keeping the body healthy, strong, and flexible for the road ahead, exercising throughout pregnancy strengthens the heart (both mum's and baby’s!), increase lung capacity, helps mum feel more energised, and can assist with an easier labor and delivery and a quicker postpartum recovery.
Barre is a great way to stay active during pregnancy
Barre is low impact and works the entire body, strengthening the legs, upper and lower back, abdominals and the pelvis, which are all areas that will need assistance with all the changes happening in the body.
Focusing on improving postural alignment, regular barre practice can lessen many typical pregnancy aches and pains such as lower back pain, help reduce swelling, and prevent rounding of the shoulders with carrying added weight in front.
