Yoga for Mum and Bub
Yoga for mums & bubs gives mothers an opportunity to connect and understand their baby's needs whist developing strength, flexibility and inner calm. Interactive exercises for bub help develop healthy body, sleeping patterns and less tummy ache. Our flexible environment allows children under 5 can come along to. They can play, sleep, eat, watch and even get involved....whatever works for your specific schedule and needs. Class involves many cuddles… that is often the best
exercise for mum & bub!
Kids Yoga for 2 - 5 Year Olds
Kids yoga at Growing Bones - teaches children to listen to their body, connect with nature and each other, how to recognise and understand feelings and emotions, self love. The class is run though story- using animal names for poses, we focus on posture, breathing that is fun, learning each part of the body through yoga poses. Every class is different!
Kids Yoga for Primary School Age
Introducing primary school aged kids to yoga can be fun, educational and playful!
Kids yoga encourages non-competitive fun physical movement to support healthy bodies, happy minds and joyful hearts.
Classes incorporate - Breathing exercises, yoga games, meditation, guided visualizations, creative arts, music and stories. Children may gain skills to help cultivate greater self-esteem/awareness, emotional intelligence, improved concentration and sleep, as well as reducing anxiety and increasing physical strength, flexibility and coordination.
Clinical Yoga for Adults
Yoga aims to create union within the body and mind through the use of breath and movement. Combining elements from Hatha and Vinyasa flow yoga, this class focusses on developing stability and strength throughout the body whilst increasing flexibility and mobility. These classes can assist with postural alignment, physical fitness, stress relief and overall wellbeing.
Yin Yoga - for Adults
Yin yoga is a deep meditative practice that encourages the student to slow down and release tension from the body and mind.The poses are held for a longer period of time compared to a dynamic practice, approx 3 - 5 minutes. Yin yoga aims to improve mobility, flexibility and increase blood flow and hydration to connective tissues - fascia, joints, bones, ligaments. This relaxing practice is blissful and uplifting; nourishing you from the inside out.
Prenatal Yoga - for Birth
Yoga for birth aims to:
- Balance and free the stresses of the body through yoga, breath work, mantra and meditation
- Use mindful movement to encourage optimal fetal positioning for birth
- Embodiment practices to allow our natural calm state to arise
- Explore active birth positions, the power of the breath and qualities of qi (energy)
