Amanda Lee

Pelvic Floor & Women's Health Physiotherapist

Amanda is a dedicated physiotherapist with a passion for pelvic health and rehabilitation. She embarked on her journey in healthcare by earning her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in 2008. During her undergraduate studies, Amanda discovered her calling for pelvic health physiotherapy while on placement at a Women’s Health clinic in a hospital. Inspired by both the practitioners and patients she encountered, she knew she had found her niche.

Beginning her career in private practice, Amanda honed her skills across a wide spectrum of conditions and age groups. She developed a particular interest in Clinical Pilates, recognizing its transformative power in rehabilitation. Believing strongly in the efficacy of prescriptive exercise, Amanda thrived in guiding her patients toward optimal health and empowering them along their journey.

In 2015, Amanda furthered her expertise by obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. Relocating to Brisbane, she joined an esteemed pelvic health clinic where she provided comprehensive care to both women and men facing pelvic health challenges. Beyond individual consultations, Amanda contributed to various initiatives including pelvic surgery preparation classes, running assessment clinics, and physiotherapist-led Pilates sessions tailored for pelvic floor health.

Beyond her special interest in pelvic health, Amanda brings a wealth of experience in treating general physiotherapy conditions, drawn from her tenure at busy musculoskeletal and sports practices. She holds certifications in dry needling and is a certified Yoga teacher. Amanda firmly believes in the holistic approach to wellness, incorporating her knowledge of yoga and ongoing professional development to deepen her understanding of the mind-body connection, especially concerning pelvic floor health.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Amanda finds joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoys reading, ocean swimming, and even braving the waves to surf on occasion. She cherishes time spent with her two lively children, alongside her beloved labrador and cat. Amanda’s commitment to holistic health and compassionate patient care shines through in every aspect of her life and practice.
